How agency-managed works at Speech Sprout

With agency-managed (NDIA-managed) funding, the NDIA pays providers directly. The trade-off is that you can only use NDIS-registered providers, at NDIS Price Guide rates. Speech Sprout is registered, so it works without friction.

After each session, we lodge the claim through the NDIA portal. The NDIA pays us. You don't see invoices unless you ask for them. We send a courtesy claim summary by email so you always know what's been claimed.

  • You give us your NDIS number and plan dates
  • We lodge a service booking in the NDIA portal for the value of the agreed services
  • Sessions begin — we claim through the portal after each one
  • Claim summaries emailed to you for transparency

The NDIA pays providers directly on your behalf. The trade-off: you can only use NDIS-registered providers, and at NDIS Price Guide rates. Speech Sprout is registered, so this works seamlessly with us.
How do I confirm Speech Sprout is registered?
Search the NDIS Provider Finder for Speech Sprout, or check the NDIS Commission's registered provider register. We're registered as a speech pathology provider — registration ID provided on request.
Will I see invoices?
No — agency-managed billing happens directly between Speech Sprout and the NDIA via the portal. You'll see the claims on your MyGov account once they're processed. We send you a courtesy copy of every claim summary.
Can I change to plan-managed later?
Yes, at your next plan review. Many families start agency-managed (often the default at plan creation) and switch to plan-managed for more flexibility once they know what they want. We can support either.
